| As the world
enters the new year of 2002 it is a time of new beginnings and a renewal of
time-honored traditions. The Hastings Fire & Rescue
Department starts a New Year with replacement of something that seems small
and insignificant to some but very important to others. After over 25
years the uniform arm patch and logo has been replaced with a design that
better signifies the role that the Hastings Fire & Rescue Department plays
in our community. The new uniform arm patch of the Hastings Fire & Rescue Department symbolizes the changing facets of the fire service and while continuing to maintain it's rich history and integrity. Like the Knights of St. John we are engaged in a War, but our war never ends and our enemy is "Fire". |
